In this module of the course, we explore anatomy and neurology at an introductory level to give us the vocabulary and theory to go deeper into how our brains and bodies work together and impact our relationships to ourselves and others.
Trusting others requires a lot of the skills we’ve talked about in previous lessons and will talk about in others, like communication, vulnerability, honesty, resilience, hope, self-compassion, and self-awareness
Our ability to trust someone also relies on our past experiences, both with that person, with someone who was in that role in the past, and just with people in general
For example, if someone’s last partner cheated on them, they might have a hard time trusting future partners. Watch this video to see an example of that:
